Braves target Gio Rojas among candidates for 2026 MLB Draft

The Atlanta Braves are focusing on several prospects for the ninth overall pick in the 2026 MLB Draft, including Florida left-handed pitcher Gio Rojas. Rojas, a standout from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, has shown remarkable statistics in recent seasons, boasting a 0.58 ERA and 124 strikeouts in 72.2 innings pitched in 2026. His fastball has been clocked up to 98 MPH, and he features a high-spin slider considered an out pitch. The Braves are evaluating whether Rojas can meet their needs as they aim to secure a top-tier player for their roster.
