Braves top Rockies 6-4 in series opener behind strong offense

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Colorado Rockies 6-4 on August 28 at Truist Park. Despite a strong offensive showing from the Rockies, who had 11 hits but went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position, they fell short. The Braves built an early lead with a three-run second inning and added to it with key hits, including two runs from Michael Harris II. Tomoyuki Sugano struggled for the Rockies, allowing six runs over 4.1 innings. The Rockies found some offense late but could not close the gap.
