Brazilian Série C quadrangular phase begins with four matches

The second phase of the Brazilian Série C commenced over the weekend with four matches across two groups. In Group C, Inter de Limeira and Ferroviária finished in a 3-3 draw at Major Levy Sobrinho, while Brusque defeated Paysandu 2-1 at Mangueirão on Monday. Group B action on Sunday saw Maringá secure a 1-0 victory over Floresta at Presidente Vargas, and Santa Cruz record a 1-0 win against Botafogo-PB at Arena de Pernambuco. The phase consists of two groups of four teams playing a round-robin format over six rounds. Clubs will play home and away fixtures to determine the final standings. The first-place team in each group advances to the title decider, while the runner-up in each group secures promotion to the 2027 Série B season.
