Breanna Stewart recognized as top women's college player by AP

Before the New York Liberty's game on July 7, the Associated Press honored Breanna Stewart for being among the greatest women's college basketball players during the Top 25 poll era. Stewart and Cheryl Miller were named the top players as part of the AP's celebration of the poll's 50th anniversary. Stewart, who led the University of Connecticut to four consecutive national championships, received her award at center court from AP Global Sports Editor Josh Hoffner. Miller's recognition occurred at the Final Four in April in Phoenix, a ceremony Stewart was unable to attend.
