Brendan Gallagher joins Vancouver Canucks following offseason trade

The Vancouver Canucks acquired forward Brendan Gallagher from the Montréal Canadiens in exchange for future considerations during the NHL offseason. A 14-year veteran who spent his entire career with the Canadiens, Gallagher is participating in informal team skates to integrate with his new teammates. He expressed optimism about the group dynamic and noted his intention to utilize his veteran experience to assist the younger members of the organization. Gallagher, who was selected 147th overall in the 2010 NHL Draft, has appeared in 911 career games and recorded 487 points.
