Brentford midfielder Mamadou Sangare earns Premier League player of the month nomination

Mamadou Sangare received a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award following his start to the season with Brentford. The 24-year-old midfielder played every minute of the team's opening two matches, including a 3-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur and a 1-1 draw at Leeds United. During these appearances, Sangare provided an assist for Keane Lewis-Potter and recorded 27 defensive contributions, encompassing 12 recoveries, six tackles, and five interceptions. Brentford signed the Mali international from Lens during the summer following his inclusion in the 2025/26 UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year.
