Brewers add Bo Naylor and JoJo Romero to active MLB roster

The Milwaukee Brewers expanded their active roster to 28 players on Tuesday by adding catcher Bo Naylor and reliever JoJo Romero. Naylor was recalled from Triple-A Nashville, while Romero returned from the 15-day injured list following an appendectomy. The Brewers acquired both players in separate trade-deadline deals this season. Naylor joins William Contreras and Gary Sánchez to provide the team with a third catcher and an additional left-handed bat. Manager Pat Murphy indicated the move allows the team to utilize Sánchez more frequently as a designated hitter. Romero, who has not appeared in a major league game since July 12, holds a 1-3 record with a 3.35 ERA over 44 appearances this year. The roster moves occurred ahead of the team's matchup against the Chicago Cubs.
