Brewers designate Lyon Richardson for assignment during Padres series

Summary

The Milwaukee Brewers have designated pitcher Lyon Richardson for assignment ahead of their second game against the San Diego Padres. This roster move follows the Brewers' loss in the series opener on Monday night, though they maintain a five-game lead in the NL Central. Richardson's designation clears a spot for Bryse Wilson, who was signed after previously being released by the club. Richardson made a brief appearance, pitching 1.2 scoreless innings during the game, but has struggled throughout his career with an ERA of 6.48 over 58.1 innings pitched.
