Brewers prepare to face Rays in World Series starting October 23

The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays will face off in the 2026 World Series, beginning October 23. The Brewers advanced by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers, while the Rays defeated the Cleveland Guardians in six games. This matchup marks the first World Series appearance for the Brewers since 1982 and the Rays' third. The series highlights MLB's ongoing discussions about salary caps, as both teams feature significantly lower payrolls compared to high-spending clubs. The Brewers are in the league’s smallest media market, showcasing competitive parity this year despite larger financial disparities.
