Brian Kelly transitions to unpaid consultant role at Memphis

Former LSU head coach Brian Kelly has joined the University of Memphis as a consultant to first-year head coach Charles Huff. This move comes after Kelly was fired by LSU in October 2025 following a disappointing tenure, which included no playoff appearances. Kelly aims to use this role to assist Memphis as it seeks to transition to a Power Four conference. The Tigers finished the 2025 season with an 8-5 record, but closed out the year with a four-game losing streak.
