Briar Cliff volleyball commenced its 2026 season with a doubleheader in Sioux City, Iowa, facing Avila and Peru State. The Chargers fell to Avila in a tightly contested match, losing three sets to two after taking it to a fifth set. They rebounded with a decisive three-set sweep against Peru State later in the day. Briar Cliff will next compete at the Siouxland Invitational on August 21.
