Brighton & Hove Albion unsuccessfully bid €45 million for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Malik Tillman during the final stages of the recent transfer window. The offer for the 24-year-old USMNT international was rejected by the Bundesliga club. Following the failed pursuit, Brighton secured a deal for VfB Stuttgart player Chema Andrés for approximately €23 million. Tillman remains with Bayer Leverkusen, where he has recorded eight goals and one assist in 44 appearances since joining the squad last summer from PSV. The midfielder was signed by the German side in 2025 for a reported €35 million fee.
