Brock Lesnar's greatest matches are highlighted in a WWE merchandising campaign. WWE has shared three of Lesnar's iconic bouts that include notable encounters against John Cena, Bill Goldberg, and The Undertaker, all while promoting the 'Thank you Brock Lesnar' collection. The promotion comes after Lesnar's announcement of his retirement from pro wrestling and combat sports following his final match at SummerSlam, where he introduced rising star Oba Femi. Although Lesnar has retired, the campaign capitalizes on his legacy and merchandise potential.

"Brock Lesnar can rest easy in retirement, especially with those royalty checks rolling in. | (Photo: WWE) Brock Lesnar’s greatest matches have become glorified billboards for his latest merchandise. On Sunday, WWE uploaded three classic bouts starring “The Beast.” Unfortunately, a graphic for WWE Shop’s new “Thank you Brock Lesnar” collection appears prominently at the bottom of the screen. Like Lesnar, the graphic is simple yet effective. It tells fans where to go, what WWE is offering, and a sample of the goods. Unfortunately, it takes away from some of Lesnar’s most brutal beatdowns. The graphic eats up a chunk of the screen as Lesnar grounds and pounds John Cena during their infamous match at SummerSlam 2014, which gave rise to Suplex City. Against Bill Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, it covers the moment Goldberg surprised Brock with a spear. Despite the annoying product placement during the Fatal 4-Way Match at SummerSlam 2017, the match itself still holds up. But as a selection, it’s an odd choice since one of the items for sale depicts a memorable moment between Lesnar and The Undertaker at SummerSlam 2015. The celebration of Lesnar and his latest line of merch comes after the former WWE and UFC Champion announced his retirement from pro wrestling and combat sports. His final match took place last week at SummerSlam. In the main event, he put over rising star Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell match on night one of the two-night show. Though his days in the ring might be behind him, it seems Lesnar will keep laughing all the way to the bank as royalties from his latest memorabilia begin to pour in. Whether fans will be smiling during WWE’s latest ad campaign, however, is another question.
