Brock Purdy faces scrutiny ahead of 49ers matchup with Broncos

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is drawing attention before the upcoming game against the Denver Broncos on October 8, 2026. Purdy, an early MVP candidate, has led the 49ers to three consecutive wins and ranks highly in offensive statistics. However, recent comments from Denver radio hosts suggest that Bo Nix is the superior quarterback. The hosts argue that while Purdy benefits from the Shanahan system, Nix's ability to lead fourth-quarter comebacks sets him apart. Critical assessments from outside sources could serve as motivation for Purdy ahead of the matchup where the 49ers will look to maintain their unbeaten status.
