Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham challenges for backup role in 2026 offseason
Summary

Jarrett Stidham is competing for the backup quarterback position with the Denver Broncos as training camp approaches. After a challenging 2025 season, where he stepped in for an injured Bo Nix in the AFC Championship, Stidham is now vying for the QB2 role against Sam Ehlinger. Stidham's previous performances included a disappointing showing in the AFC title game, where key turnovers contributed to a narrow loss. Broncos head coach Sean Payton indicated an open competition for the backup QB spot this summer, further heightening the stakes for Stidham.
