Browns expected to target QB Austin Simmons in 2027 draft

The Cleveland Browns are projected to select a new quarterback, aiming for Missouri's Austin Simmons with the No. 13 pick in the 2027 NFL draft. This decision follows the struggles of current QB Deshaun Watson, whose contract is due to expire after the season. Despite Watson's recent performances, he has not secured his position as the team's long-term solution. Simmons, ranked fifth among quarterbacks by Mel Kiper Jr., has completed nearly 65 percent of his passes this season, throwing for 14 touchdowns with just one interception. Concerns about his lack of starting experience may impact his draft status.
