The Cleveland Browns head to Florida to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their 2026 season opener this Sunday. Cleveland enters the matchup under a new coaching staff and with a roster change at quarterback, while the defense must manage without Myles Garrett for the first time since 2016. The team aims to maintain a 45-game streak of not allowing an opposing quarterback to throw for 300 or more yards. Analysts anticipate a difficult test against the Jacksonville offense, which is anchored by Trevor Lawrence. Defensive contributions from Jared Verse will be monitored as he looks to disrupt the Jaguars' backfield. On the other side of the ball, Deshaun Watson faces a Jacksonville defense led by Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen.
