Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders faces uncertain future with team

Shedeur Sanders is navigating a precarious future with the Cleveland Browns as the team has named Deshaun Watson as the Week 1 starter. Despite some strong performances during training camp, Sanders’ chances of remaining with the Browns appear to be diminishing. Analyst Jason Lloyd noted that a potential high draft pick for a quarterback in 2027 could further limit Sanders' opportunities in Cleveland. Watson's previous injuries and inconsistent play could force Sanders into action this season, but his long-term prospects hinge on his performance should he get playing time. Watson's return was met with mixed reactions, adding further pressure heading into the season.
