Browns sign Derek Barnett after NFL preseason Week 2 loss

The Cleveland Browns signed former Tennessee defensive lineman Derek Barnett on August 24, following their 31-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills during NFL preseason Week 2. Barnett, now in his tenth season, was previously with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans. The Browns placed defensive end Alex Wright on injured reserve to make room for Barnett. In his NFL career, Barnett has accumulated 216 tackles and 34 sacks. He is known for setting Tennessee's career sack record of 33 during his time in college.
