Browns trade Myles Garrett to Rams for Jared Verse and draft picks

The Cleveland Browns have officially traded Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. In return, Cleveland receives edge rusher Jared Verse, along with a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick. Browns General Manager Andrew Berry stated that while the team did not envision trading Garrett, the opportunity presented by the Rams was considered significant for the organization's future. Garrett, drafted first overall in 2017, leaves as the franchise's all-time leader in sacks and a two-time AP Defensive Player of the Year. Owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam expressed gratitude for Garrett's contributions as he embarks on a new chapter in his career with the Rams.
