Bruno Genesio expects no Marseille signings unless more players leave

Marseille manager Bruno Genesio confirmed that the club is unlikely to make any new signings before the transfer window closes on Tuesday. Despite the departures of Mason Greenwood, Facundo Medina, Geronimo Rulli, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Leonardo Balerdi, the club has not added any players to the roster this summer. Marseille previously committed to UEFA and the DNCG to reduce costs by offloading top earners, yet several high-wage players remain on the books. Genesio noted that for any new arrivals to be registered, the club must offload three or four additional squad members. The manager stated during a Sunday press conference that there are currently no plans for further recruits.
