Bruno Guimaraes joins Arsenal after Newcastle tenure, contract details revealed

Summary

Bruno Guimaraes has completed a transfer to Arsenal from Newcastle United, with the club announcing the move on August 9, 2026. Arsenal reportedly paid a flat fee of £75 million, structured in two payments, for Guimaraes, who signs a four-year contract. Previous narratives indicated that Guimaraes rejected Arsenal for Newcastle in 2022, but new reports suggest Arsenal opted not to complete the deal at that time due to coaching staff concerns over his fit. Having established himself as a key player at Newcastle, Guimaraes now joins Arsenal, revisiting a transfer that was close to materializing four years prior.
