Bruno Guimarães joins Arsenal and keeps No.39 shirt
Summary

Bruno Guimarães is now an Arsenal player, officially confirmed on August 8, 2026. The Brazilian will continue wearing his iconic No.39 shirt, a number that holds deep personal significance due to his father's work as a taxi driver in Brazil. Guimarães has previously carried the number at Athletico Paranaense, Lyon, and Newcastle United. His journey from a taxi bearing the number 039 to the Premier League spotlights his family's sacrifices and his personal narrative, making the No.39 a symbol beyond a typical squad number.
