Bryan Hodgson outlines plans for Providence basketball turnaround

Bryan Hodgson provided updates on Providence basketball's preparations for the 2026-27 season during summer workouts. Holding a competitive atmosphere, Hodgson aims for improvement with a focus on team effort and consistency. Only Ryan Mela and walk-on John Jackson return from a team that went 27-38 over the past two seasons. Hodgson's staff, which includes new recruiting coordinator Christian Pino, is finalizing the roster, with Leonardo Marangon expected to join soon. Several transfers have also been added to the squad, and the nonconference schedule will include games against Nebraska, Rhode Island, and Syracuse, as well as three games in the Maui Invitational.
