Buccaneers criticized for promoting video linked to bison attack

Summary

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers received backlash after posting a video that juxtaposed footage of a recent bison attack in Yellowstone National Park with NFL rookie Tez Johnson performing a flip. The video followed an incident where Carl Isom McDaniel, who intervened to protect his grandson, sustained severe injuries from a charging bison. Fans condemned the team for insensitivity, emphasizing the seriousness of McDaniel's situation and questioning the appropriateness of the promotion. Amid ongoing concerns about social media content, the Buccaneers face reputational risks as they prepare for the 2026 NFL season after missing the playoffs last year.
