Bucknell defeats VMI 14-3 in defensive football game at Foster Stadium

Bucknell secured a 14-3 victory over VMI on Saturday at Foster Stadium in Lexington, Virginia. The contest remained scoreless until late in the second quarter when VMI kicker Jack Joyce converted a 26-yard field goal. Defensive play dominated the first three quarters before Bucknell quarterback Christopher Dietrich connected with Jackson Nowinski for a 27-yard touchdown pass with under seven minutes remaining in the final period. Shortly after, VMI quarterback Ian Reynolds threw an interception to England Allen, which set up a short field for the visitors. Bucknell capitalized on the turnover with an eight-yard rushing touchdown by Michael Cadden to finalize the scoring. VMI finished the game with 155 passing yards, while Bucknell recorded 221 yards through the air. The Keydets travel to Davidson next weekend for their final non-conference game of the season.
