Bucs waive safety Conley, place Lucas and Ndubuisi on PUP list

The Buccaneers made three roster moves on July 28, the day before their first 2026 training camp practice. Rookie safety Ja'Qurious Conley was waived with a non-football injury designation. Cornerback Chase Lucas and defensive lineman Haggai Ndubuisi were placed on the active/physically unable to perform list, affecting their availability for the upcoming season. Players on the PUP list may be removed after passing a physical. Conley signed with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent, while Lucas has previously played for both the Lions and 49ers. Ndubuisi joined the NFL through the International Player Pathway Program, transitioning from an offensive tackle to a defensive lineman.
