Buffalo Bills consider signing wide receiver Greg Dortch after Lions roster cut

The Buffalo Bills are evaluating veteran wide receiver Greg Dortch as a potential roster addition after the Detroit Lions released him on Sunday. While the Lions may intend to re-sign the veteran once they move players to injured reserve, Dortch is currently a free agent. Analysts suggest that Dortch provides a viable solution for the Bills' ongoing uncertainty at the punt return position. He has previous experience working with Bills special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers and wide receivers coach Drew Terrell from their time together with the Arizona Cardinals. Buffalo currently lacks a clear replacement for punt return duties following the release of Mecole Hardman and the transition of running back Ray Davis into that role during the preseason. Dortch holds a career average of 8.9 yards per punt return and 23.6 yards per kick return over 68 appearances.
