Bulldogs submit free agency paperwork for Zak Butters
Summary

The Western Bulldogs have filed free agency paperwork for Port Adelaide's Zak Butters as of October 9, 2026. Butters, who has expressed a desire to join the Bulldogs, could potentially sway the draft dynamics, as Port Adelaide has three days to either accept compensation or match the offer. The Power aim to secure additional draft capital to counter Essendon's expected pick No. 1 bid, complicating the situation. Further developments are anticipated as negotiations progress.
