Bulls miss out on Jonathan Kuminga, who signs with Timberwolves
Summary

Jonathan Kuminga officially signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves on August 26, 2026, after weighing multiple offers. The Chicago Bulls were among the teams that pursued him but ultimately lost out due to Kuminga's preference for a deal that provided him with more freedom. He will reportedly play alongside stars like Anthony Davis and LaMelo Ball on a two-year, $13 million contract with a player option. Chicago continues to seek roster upgrades ahead of the 2026-27 NBA season, following their failure to secure other key players.
