Bulls' Nic Claxton remains out with hamstring injury ahead of preseason finale

Chicago Bulls center Nic Claxton has been sidelined with a hamstring injury he sustained during practice. He has not participated in the preseason and is undergoing a two-week evaluation. Head coach Tiago Splitter confirmed that Claxton, along with Zach Collins, Issac Okoro, and Tobe Awaka, will miss the final preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Splitter noted that while some players are improving, Claxton's status remains unclear. In Claxton's absence, Jalen Smith has contributed significantly to the team's performance. Claxton was acquired in July from the Brooklyn Nets and is expected to bring valuable skills to the Bulls once healthy.
