Burnley appoints Fabio Celestini as head coach after Hayen's departure
Summary

Burnley FC has officially appointed Fabio Celestini as their head coach, four days following the sacking of Nicky Hayen. Celestini, a 50-year-old former manager of FC Basel, comes to the club after a stint at CSKA Moscow. Under Hayen, Burnley struggled in the Championship, currently sitting in 22nd place with just one league win this season. Diego Lopez was appointed as director of football earlier this week to assist in managerial searches after a disappointing start to the season. Celestini expressed confidence in his team's potential and aims to instill belief among the players and supporters.
