Burnley signs winger Lluc Castell from Espanyol for undisclosed fee

Burnley has confirmed the signing of 19-year-old winger Lluc Castell from Espanyol. The transfer marks Castell's move to the Championship side and he becomes the first addition under new manager Nicky Hayen. Castell started his professional career with Gimnastic de Tarragona before joining Espanyol in 2022. He made a notable senior debut in the La Liga side's last match of the previous season against Real Sociedad. Burnley is set to begin their Championship campaign at home to West Ham on August 16.
