Butler athletics begins upgrades to tennis and volleyball facilities

On September 19, Butler athletics announced significant upgrades to its tennis and volleyball programs. Construction has started on a multi-million dollar outdoor tennis facility featuring 12 courts, spectator seating, and a scoreboard. This project is supported by donations and a grant from the United States Tennis Association. Additionally, the volleyball team debuted a new Taraflex floor in Hinkle Fieldhouse at the Butler Invitational, aimed at reducing injury risk for players. Butler volleyball coach Kyle Shondell expressed gratitude to donors, including Nancy and Dr. Dennis Lawton, who have supported the initiative.
