Butler rallies to top Martella's Pharmacy in AAABA Tournament opener

The 81st AAABA Tournament kicked off on August 3 with eight pool play games. In Pool A, Butler edged out Martella's Pharmacy with a close score of 6-5, marking an upset for the Johnstown-2 representative. Lucas Oleksa and Jack Messina each contributed two hits for Martella's. Other matches included Altoona Cumming Motors defeating Brooklyn 6-3, and Maryland State overcoming Columbus 11-6. The tournament proceeds with the knockout stage starting on August 6 for the top two teams from each pool.
