BVB prepares for home Champions League match against Villarreal CF

Following the 2022/23 UEFA decision to lift a long-standing ban on standing areas, the stadium can accommodate 81,365 spectators. Due to the international standing regulations, approximately two-thirds of season-ticket holders maintain their international access rights for this capacity. Officials noted that twice as many single-match tickets remain available compared to standard Bundesliga home games, largely due to the short timeframe since the match schedule was finalized. Temperatures are expected to reach 19 degrees Celsius for the upcoming midweek contest.
