BVB signs midfielder Ethan Nwaneri on loan from Arsenal

BVB secured midfielder Ethan Nwaneri on a loan deal before the transfer window closed. Managing Director of Sports Lars Ricken stated the move provides necessary squad depth following the extended injury absence of Giannis Konstantelias. Nwaneri emerged from the Arsenal Academy and holds the record as the youngest player to debut in the Premier League. The midfielder previously spent the latter half of the last season on loan at Olympique Marseille, where he recorded two goals in 11 appearances. Nwaneri currently features for the English U21 national team, where he is a teammate of fellow BVB player Jobe Bellingham. The club considers this move the optimal solution to address roster needs at short notice.
