BVB women defeat SSV Rhade 5-0 in Regionalliga West match

Borussia Dortmund secured a 5-0 away victory against SSV Rhade at Sportpark Risthaus on August 31. Defender Lara Schmidt opened the scoring in the fourth minute, followed by a penalty conversion from Rita Schumacher to establish a 2-0 halftime lead. The visitors extended their advantage in the second half through a second goal from Schumacher, as well as strikes from Ricarda Walkling and Ronja Leubner. Head coach Markus Högner noted that while his team maintained control for large portions of the match, the early stages required adjustment. The victory leaves the BVB women preparing for their next fixture against DJK Wacker Mecklenbeck. This upcoming match is scheduled for September 6 at 3 p.m. at Stadion Rote Erde.
