Byron Murphy II named Seahawks' top non-QB MVP candidate for 2026

Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Byron Murphy II has been identified as the team's top non-quarterback MVP option for the 2026 season by CBS Sports. Murphy, who recorded seven sacks last year, is viewed as a key player for the Seahawks' defense under coordinator Mike Macdonald. His breakout performance in 2025 has positioned him ahead of teammates Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Leonard Williams in potential impact for the upcoming season. The Seahawks aim for another Super Bowl run, and Murphy's development is seen as crucial to that goal.
