BYU defeats Utah Tech 63-7 in season opener at LaVell Edwards Stadium

BYU secured a 63-7 victory over Utah Tech in the season opener on Saturday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo. The Cougars utilized a deep rotation of players, with five different individuals scoring rushing touchdowns during the game. Quarterback Bear Bachmeier finished 16 of 20 passing for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Freshman wide receiver Legend Glasker contributed three scores, including one on a sweep, while the defense added two interceptions and a fumble recovery to the effort. Safety Raider Damuni left the game before halftime due to an injury.
