Cade Cavalli near no-hitter against Cubs through six innings

Cade Cavalli of the Washington Nationals has not allowed a hit through six innings against the Chicago Cubs on August 13. Cavalli was perfect until a walk to Dansby Swanson to start the sixth, who was then erased on a double play. He recorded seven strikeouts and threw 41 of 67 pitches for strikes. Washington currently leads 6-0, bolstered by a three-run homer from Abimelec Ortiz earlier in the game. The Nationals have only had two no-hitters since their relocation to Washington, the last thrown by Max Scherzer in 2015.
