Washington Nationals pitcher Cade Cavalli and Boston Red Sox first baseman Willson Contreras received seven-game suspensions on Thursday following a benches-clearing incident at Fenway Park on Tuesday. Cavalli's suspension follows his comments which carried racial overtones, leading to a brawl that resulted in four ejections. MLB also suspended Nationals pitcher Miles Mikolas for five games and Red Sox outfielder Nate Eaton for three games for their involvement during the altercation. Each of the four players involved has also been fined an undisclosed amount.
