Cade Cunningham actively recruits Austin Reaves to Pistons in free agency

Cade Cunningham reportedly made significant efforts to recruit Austin Reaves from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Detroit Pistons before Reaves ultimately re-signed with the Lakers for a four-year, $185 million deal. During the free-agency period, the Pistons sought additional star power after finishing first in the Eastern Conference last season. Despite interest in Reaves, Detroit also looked at players like Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard but did not finalize any major signings. The Pistons added veteran forwards John Collins and Tobias Harris among other roles this summer.
