Caelan Doris ruled out of Ireland's July matches due to injury

Ireland captain Caelan Doris will miss the upcoming Nations Championship matches against Australia, Japan, and New Zealand this July because of a foot injury. Doris sustained the injury early in Leinster's United Rugby Championship final victory over the Bulls at Croke Park. Leinster’s Tommy O'Brien is also sidelined with a groin injury. Bryn and Zac Ward from Ulster have been called up to replace the injured players. Dan Sheehan will take over the captaincy for the matches. Ireland's first match is scheduled for July 4 in Sydney against Australia.
