Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what’s going on in pro wrestling — Wrestler Rankings are where YOU let us know YOURS. Cast a vote in the comments. We also have the outcome of last week’s voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for the Cageside Cup, given to our Performer of the Year. This week, we’re voting on nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows that took place July 12-18, 2026 — Raw, NXT, Evolve, Dynamite, Impact, ROH on HonorClub, SmackDown, MLW Fusion, Collision, AAA & CMLL’s weekly offerings, New Japan’s G1 36 shows, and everything else I’m no doubt forgetting. But first, here’s the outcome of last week’s voting, and how those results changed our annual competition for the Cageside Cup. Two companies had a top men’s belt change hands on television during the week in question. Neither was universally beloved, but the cSs Community — or the ones who take part in this little exercise every week, anyway, for whom I am very grateful — threw more support behind the one that happened on Dynamite to make… … AEW World champion for the second-time in his illustrious career. There are no doubt many reasons The Best Bout Machine’s was chosen over the one that happened two nights earlier on Raw. One of those reasons is the man he beat for the WWE title, and who finished third right behind the new champ. He wasn’t a Franken-hausen’s monster or anything, but the Lone Wolf making his way back to the big-time is still a big deal, as the new NXT Women’s champ continues to be, even on a week where she didn’t wrestle. It was a great celebration, though. The mad scientist who’s made The Miz and Kit Wilson his projects, and who’s got a nice lead in the Cup race already, finished tied with the AEW star who returned to earn a Women’s World title match at Redemption. And they were just ahead of the man who beat his old tag partner for AEW’s International championship, the half of the WWE World Tag champs you like best, and the latest wrestler who took advantage of Alexa Bliss’ trick elbow.
