Cal honors quarterback Joe Roth with new merchandise collection

The University of California, Berkeley, has launched the first-ever Joe Roth Collection, featuring apparel celebrating the late quarterback's legacy. Roth, who battled melanoma and passed away in 1977, has had his number retired and is remembered through various honors, including a yearly memorial game. Despite the collection's promotion surrounding the Joe Roth Memorial Game, Tom Roth, Joe's brother, revealed that proceeds will not support cancer research or Roth's scholarship fund. Since initial outreach, he has had no communication with Cal regarding the collection's revenues.
