Caleb Banks earns incomplete grade from CBS Sports after Week 8

Vikings rookie Caleb Banks received an incomplete grade from CBS Sports ahead of Week 9, following Week 8. Banks, selected as the team's top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, has played only 25% of the defensive snaps and has not significantly impacted the game. CBS Sports' Ryan Wilson noted Banks' development challenges, particularly when disengaging from blockers. Minnesota's strategy has generally involved bringing rookies along slowly, with Banks noted as a developmental prospect. The Vikings lead the NFC North despite suffering their first defeat in a loss against the Detroit Lions.
