Caleb Williams leads Bears to field goal in preseason opener vs. Bengals

Caleb Williams played the opening drive for the Chicago Bears on Saturday night against the Cincinnati Bengals in a preseason game at Paycor Stadium. He completed 2 of 5 passes for 28 yards before the Bears settled for a 45-yard field goal from Cairo Santos, taking a 3-0 lead. The Bears' offense moved into the red zone but was set back by a penalty, forcing them to settle for the field goal. Williams played nine snaps before being pulled, as Coach Ben Johnson had not previously confirmed whether he would see action this preseason. Despite missing several starters, most of the key offensive players were available for Williams during his time on the field.
