Caleb Wooden and Sean Williams sue NCAA for fifth year of eligibility

Caleb Wooden and Sean Williams, recent additions to Arkansas football, have filed a lawsuit against the NCAA seeking to secure a fifth year of eligibility to play in 2026. The lawsuit was submitted on August 26 in Washington County Circuit Court, challenging the NCAA's decision not to grant additional eligibility based on age for the 2022 high school senior class. Previously, a Colorado judge issued a ruling enabling a fifth year for this group, but the NCAA has recently gained a legal victory that complicates their situation. Wooden, who transferred from Auburn, and Williams, an All-Ivy First Team player from Dartmouth, aim to practice with the Razorbacks pending the outcome of their suit. Arkansas has not commented on the matter.
