California and NC State face off in bowl game amid struggles

Summary

California and NC State will meet in the Man, It’s REALLY Not Our Year Bowl. Both teams have experienced disappointing seasons marked by injuries and coaching issues. California's new head coach, Tosh Lupoi, has faced criticism after his debut season, struggling to utilize quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele effectively. The Bears’ offensive performance has been poor, averaging only 70 rushing yards per game, exacerbated by injuries to key players. As both teams seek a morale boost, this matchup could be the only bowl appearance for either program this year.
